DIY time: Cocoa and Mint Face pack. Try this if you love Lush's Cupcake!

Hello Pretty Ladies,

Hope you all are doing great!

How did you all feel when you came to know that Lush has shutdown in India? I was so disappointed because I used to love their face masks. I know many of you felt the same because Lush had something for everyone. I had got an inspiration from Lush's website where I had found a video on how they make their face packs. I tried to create my version of their face packs and they worked pretty amazing. I had shared this on IMBB long back as well but I modified the mask to make it better after that. So I am sharing this first recreation of my own version of the Lush Cupcake mask. The yummiest face mask from them. This works exceptionally well on oily/combination skin and those with acne prone skin. So without further ado, let's see how I make this Cocoa mint face pack.

2. Multani Mitti or Fullers Earth (Quantity-1 teaspoon). (since Rhassouls mud is not easily available, we can use fullers earth because it has similar benefits as Rhassouls mud)
Benefits to the skin:
a) Natural skin cleanser
It acts as an antiseptic and thus helps in cleaning the skin.
b) Blood circulation
The application of mud increases the blood circulation in the skin.
c) Dull skin
It helps in lightening the dark tone of the skin.
d) Acne
It helps acne-prone skin to recover fast and gives relief from acne and oily skin.

3. Cocoa Powder (Quantity-1 teaspoon).
Benefits to the skin:
Cocoa powder (chocolate) has anti-oxidant properties, skin softening properties, moisturizing properties to name a few.

4. Glycerin (Quantity-1/2 teaspoon). This is optional.
Benefits to the skin:
Glycerin helps in restoring the water levels in your skin and prevents dryness of your skin.

5. Honey (Quantity-1/2 teaspoon).
Benefits to the skin:
Honey has anti-bacterial properties and gives a natural glow to the skin.

6. Rose water (Quantity-as much as required to get mask like consistency).

The main ingredients are mint, fullers earth and cocoa powder. Other ingredients can be adjusted according to skin type or one's liking.

Steps for making this face pack:

1. Grind the mint leaves in a blender and make a smooth paste by adding equivalent amount of water.

2. Take cocoa powder in a bowl and add multani mitti to it.

3. Now mix the mint paste we have prepared along with glycerin.

4. Add honey, adjust the consistency of this mixture by adding required amount of rose water till it forms a smooth paste which can be applied on the face as a mask and you are done!!

It is so easy and the ingredients are easily available and you can prepare this in batches and store for a week (max).

Application: Apply the face mask on the face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Wash off and say Hello to beautiful and rejuvenated skin! :)

I have been using this mask since a year now and it works beautifully on my oily skin. It helps me in soothing acne if any and over a period of time has helped me in reducing acne scars and pigmentation around the mouth. It instantly adds glow to the face and fullers earth helps in tightening the pores which in turn makes them look less visible. To add to the goodness, it smells so yummy!! This is an amazing alternative to the Lush Cupcake now since we don't have easy access to Lush.

So go ahead ladies, try out this face pack and let me know how it worked for you. I hope you will not miss Cupcake after using this ;)
