Hi Girls,
Hope you all are doing fine!
When we started exploring the world of makeup, many of us would have gone through times where applying eye liner perfectly seemed to be a tedious task. I have read so many blogs with people querying how to apply eyeliner perfectly. I have come across girls who tend to create crooked lines because their hand shivers while they line their eyes. I went through that phase as well and that is the time when i came up with a trick. A trick which might help all you beginners out there who are struggling to get near perfect eyeliner application. Who comes to the rescue? An eyelash curler! yes you heard me right. An eyelash curler can help you get a perfect eyeliner :) This technique will also involve applying the liner with a brush/felt tip applicator but the basic aim of this trick is to give an outline for drawing a near perfect line. Without further ado, lets see how i use a eyelash curler to line my eyes.
Things you will need:
Eyeliner (preferably gel liner because we need a liner which will stick to the metal portion of the curler).
Brush/felt tip applicator/liquid liner applicator.
Eyelash curler.
Products I have used:
Maybelline Gel Eyeliner (Black).
Eyeliner brush which came with Maybelline gel liner.
Oriflame eyelash curler.
Step 1: Apply a coat of liner of your choice to the base of the metal portion (the portion which sticks to your eyelid when you curl your lashes) of the eyelash curler with a brush (refer pic)
Step 2: Curl your lashes with the eyelash curler. While you are doing this, gently press the base of the curler against your eyelid so that the liner transfers from the curler to your upper lash line.
Step 3: Once you take the curler off, you will get a rough outline for your eyeliner. Remember how we used to do join the dots when we were kids? Use the same technique here to line your eyes by taking the reference of the outline the curler created. You can even wing it out or keep it simple and voila!! you are done!
Outline created by the curler:
Final look:
This technique is a two in one technique. While giving you an outline to line your eyes, it also curls your lashes at the same time ;) time saving isn't it?
The curler is rounded to fit the shape of your eye while you are curling your lashes. Since the rounded portion sticks to the eyelid, the outline created will also come out rounded and defined.
This trick might not work perfectly the first time you try it but you can master it with 1-2 more attempts :)
This is an excellent method to line your eyes if you are a beginner and are not able to draw a perfect line.
I hope you all find this tutorial helpful. Do you guys have any eye liner tricks which you would like to share? Please leave a comment.
Take Care,
Love,
Mayuri
