I am so happy to have received amazing response for my bow clip DIY. Thank you lovelies! :) That motivates me to experiment more and do more DIY tutorials to share results of my experiments. Today I will be reviewing NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in shades San Paulo, Antwerp & Addis Ababa. I love matte lips especially since the time I am using these amazing lip colors from NYX. I particularly am partial towards the shade San Paulo and I wear it quite often. I had ordered these goodies from cherryculture (online shopping site which ships from USA to India). I had ordered in bulk so each product cost me almost half the price they are sold here in India (inclusive of shipping!yes!).

Product Description:
It's not lipstick, nor is it gloss. It's nothing like you've experienced before. It's lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte.
Price: I got it for around 500 INR from cherryculture (6$+shipping). Available on Indian online shopping sites like Nykaa and medplusbeauty for 750 INR. Flipkart - 637 INR.
Packaging:
The product comes in a sleek bottle/tube with a sponge applicator which makes it easier to apply the lip color evenly on the lips.
My Experience with NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream:
I love the formula of this lip color. It has great pigmentation and buttery texture which glides across like a dream although it might be a little streaky in application if you have dry lips. I have to make sure my lips are properly hydrated before using this product. The color payoff is really good.
It smells really yummy! Although many people prefer non scented lip products, I don't mind sweet vanilla kinda fragrance which this lip color has. It tempts me to lick it off when I apply it freshly on my lips ;)
It is moisturizing on the lips unlike some matte lipsticks which tend to dry out the lips. It has an air whipped texture which makes it very lightweight and easy to glide.
The staying power is around 5 hours but the color starts fading in a very uneven way after 3 hours which might not look good if it starts settling in fine lines.
Let's talk about the shades I am reviewing here:
San Paulo: This shade looks bright rosy on me. It will flatter almost all Indian skin tones. Looks brightening on beauties with yellow undertones (like me :D) This is my favorite shade.
Antwerp: A light coral pink shade which according to me is best suitable for fair to medium skin tones. Since it is a lighter shade, it appears more patchy as compared to the darker shades. Personally this is my least favorite of the three as it tends to wash me out.
Addis Ababa: This is a bright hot pink shade with blue undertones which instantly perks up the face. This will suit almost all Indian skin tones and is ideal for those who love bold lips.

All in all, this is a good lip color if you are a matte lip lover. You will love it for the formula and finish.

- Creamy texture which helps in easy application.
- Pigmentation is very good which is why you need a little product to cover entire lips.
- Goes matte and sets within few seconds of application.
- Stays on for over 5 hours.
- Smells yummy!
- Although this is a matte lip color, it does not dry out the lips unlike other matte lipsticks. It is hydrating on the lips.
- Available in 11 pretty shades.
- The sponge tip applicator fetches the perfect amount of product for each application.
Cons:
- Accentuates dry lips and tends to settle in fine lines.
- The application might be a little streaky if you have not exfoliated your lips well so you cannot really use this when you are in a hurry.
Would I recommend this product?
Yes! I love it for the pigmentation and finish. I love the shade
Would I repurchase this product?
Yes I will repurchase San Paulo :)
