Yaaayy! I got a new cam :D I was so busy today experimenting with it and taking random shots. It is the Sony Cybershot DSC H300 which is the best point and shoot I have come across in its range. Let the pictures speak for themselves :D Coming back to the review, today I am reviewing my HG sunscreen which I have been using every single day since past 2 years. It is a boon for my oily skin and SPF 50 makes it such a super awesome sunscreen. Lotus Herbals Safe Sun UV Screen Matte Gel in SPF 50 is for you if you have oily skin, need high sun protection and prefer gel based sunscreens.

The sunscreen comes in a tube form with a flip top. The packaging is simple and travel friendly. The lid sits tightly coupled with the tube which avoids any accidental leaks while travelling. The nozzle dispenses adequate amount of product with every squeeze. Nothing fancy with the packaging but it is very sturdy.
My Experience with Lotus Herbals Safe Sun UV Screen Matte Gel SPF 50:
Like I already said I have been using it every single day for the past 2 years and I just cannot do without it. I stock up 2 tubes at a time so that I don't miss using this sunscreen even for a single day. This sunscreen has been helping me combat sun tan, rashes due to sun exposure, sun burn and other ailments caused due to sun exposure. Whenever I put it on and step out of the house, I am rest assured that I am well protected from the sun. It has UVA and UVB sun protection which means it is a complete sunscreen for being protected from all problems arising from sun exposure. To explain in short, UVA rays penetrate deep within the skin and can cause pre-mature ageing and skin cancer whereas UVB affect the superficial layer of the skin which leads to tan, sunburn, rashes, etc. So this sunscreen takes care of all that. It has SPF 50 which is more than enough for everyday use.
Lets talk about the texture now. It comes in the form of a gel and it is rightly calld as matte gel as it penetrates the skin fast and gives a matte finish. I love this sunscreen mainly for this reason. It is a boon for my oily skin as it protects and mattifies at the same time. It smells very pleasant with a mild flowery fragrance. It does not feel sticky at all and I also feel that it hydrates my skin very well, not to the point that I can skip my moisturizer but makes my skin look healthy and soft. My skin feels supple and soft after application. It keeps my skin matte for the entire day. It does not melt or smudge. This sunscreen completes my skincare and I love using it. I can't thank Lotus enough for this product because a sunscreen in gel form which mattifies the skin is God sent for oily skinned girls like me!
The first one is empty which I finished using this month. I am using the middle one currently and the third one is backup :D see how much I love this! <3
