Review: Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner - puts back life in your tresses!

Hello Pretty Ladies,

Hope you all are doing great!

Women's day is over per say but I believe each day is ours to seize and make the most of it. No day, no house, no relationship, no family is completely without a woman. So here's a Happy Women's day wish for today and for each day you take pride in being a woman. :) My salute, love and respect to all the wonderful women out there who make this world a beautiful place to live. Well so coming to today's review, I would like to start off by describing my hair. I have naturally wavy hair with excessively oily scalp which turns into an oil factory if I don't wash my hair even for a day and hence I have to wash my hair everyday. Yes! Trust me girls it is a cumbersome task but now I have got used to it :D Since my hair tends to get damaged and dry towards the end of my hair shaft, I have to use a conditioner which can hold up the waves and make them look healthy. That's when Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner comes to the rescue. I have been using this conditioner since over 4-5 months now and absolutely loving it.

Read on to find out more.

Product Description:

I am deliciously moisturizing. Drink up and replenish your hair's much needed moisture. It's time to be reunited with silky, smooth hair.

Method of Use: I use it just on the ends of my hair after shampoo and leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing it off.

Price: 205 INR for 300 ml.

Buy online on Nykaa here.

Shelf Life: 3 years.

Ingredients:

Packaging:

The bottle is curvy and pretty. It comes in blue color which is my favorite and is one of the reasons I got attracted to it's packaging :) It is a big bottle since it has to accommodate 300 ml of product which makes it a little less travel friendly.

My Experience with Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner for Dry/Damaged Hair:

I love how this conditioner puts life back into my damaged hair especially the ends of hair which become dry and damaged over a period of time and it becomes even more difficult to manage the damaged end if you are growing out your hair and don't want to cut them. That is exactly what was happening to me few months back. My scalp was super oily and the ends were super dry and damaged with split ends for company :( I chose this conditioner because it claimed to work on dry/damaged hair which my hair ends were. I have been using this for over 5 months now and absolutely loving it. It is infused with orchid and coconut milk. The coconut milk gives that amazing moisturizing effect to the hair. The consistency is a little watery as compared to other conditioners but still very creamy. It glides on the hair very easily and smoothly. After using this conditioner, my hair immediately feels full of life and my waves get dimension towards the end. The lifeless damaged hair feel soft and manageable. The damage is repaired to a great extent with continuous usage. I think this will work even better on those who have completely dry hair unlike mine (oily scalp). It has a mild coconut and vanilla fragrance which I love! It lingers on for quite sometime after hair wash. So far I have been using this every alternate day and loving the after effects as my hair looks healthier and lively. I can see a visible improvement in split ens as well but they have not vanished completely. All in all it claims what it does and does work wonders on damaged hair.

Pros:

  • Hydrates hair and brings back life into lifeless hair.
  • Makes hair look healthier and they feel soft to touch.
  • Gives definition to natural texture of hair.
  • Repairs dry/damaged hair and gives them the much needed moisture.
  • Works best on dry/damaged ends of hair.
  • There is some visible reduction in split ends.
  • Smells pleasant.

Cons:
  • Loads of chemicals.
Would I recommend this product?

Yes! Especially if  you have dry hair top to bottom and you don't mind the chemicals. This will work great in hydrating the hair.

Would I repurchase this product?

Yes! I will repurchase this till the time I am growing out my hair as my damaged ends need this conditioner badly :)

My Rating: 4.5/5

All in all this product does what it claims and that makes it a winner for me. Although I just use it for my dry/damaged ends, beauties with dry or normal hair will love this more in my opinion.

So go ahead girls try this out if you want to hydrate your hair!

It's too bad it has chemicals in it. I haven't used Herbal Essences in many years but I used to use a lot.
Great review.

I have never tried Herbal Essence because I was not skeptical about all those chemicals. But if it is doing the job and that too so well, no harm in trying. Though I am trying to use SLS and silicone free hair products for quite some time :) Great detailed post though :)
