Review, FOTD: Maybelline Cheeky Glow blush in Creamy Cinnamon! Perfect everyday blush

Hello Gorgeous Ladies,

Hope you all are doing great!

Maybelline Cheeky Glow blushes are like all over the place!! That's because they are so awesome and so easy on the pocket at the same time. Today I am reviewing the shade Creamy Cinnamon from this range which is a perfect everyday peachy cinnamon shade. These cuties come in three gorgeous shades namely Peachy Sweety, Fresh Coral and Creamy Cinnamon which I will be reviewing here. I am not a fan of blushes which have shimmer because they somehow seem to accentuate my pores. I have oily/combination skin and hence prefer matte blushes and these fit perfectly in the description.

Read on to find out more.

Product Description (from the official website):

Ultra light weight, silky, blendable powders. Meet the new blush on the block. So Silky and smooth, it blends flawlessly for the most natural finish. Soft texture for a natural hue.
Easily blends with your skin color

There is a funny story of why the name on the cap has gone from Cheeky Glow to Eeky Glow. This came with the barcode tag stuck to the top of the cap. When I removed it, it left behind sticky black marks which I wanted to remove for taking good pictures. I used a nail polish remover and bam! it removed the letters too :P

Price: 225 INR (this is a wowiee factor of this product)

Shelf Life: 3 years.

Packaging: This blush comes in a tiny blush pan which looks very cute. It comes in white colored packaging which is a bit boring considering that Maybelline products usually come in colorful packaging.

My Experience with Maybelline Cheeky Glow blush in Creamy Cinnamon:

Texture: The texture is matte with satin finish. This makes it super easy to blend. It glides on evenly and blends like a dream. The brush picks up a lot of product if you dip it in the pan with a heavy hand which leads to product wastage so I have to make sure that I take it with a light hand and build it up for good color payoff. It is shimmer free which makes it a good everyday blush which does not accentuate my pores and gives a nice glowy finish.

Pigmentation: For a blush which is so inexpensive, the pigmentation is remarkable. A single application is good enough for the color to pop but as I said if you do not want product wastage then best way to use is by building it up with little product at a time.

Staying power: This stays on for 3 hours on me with little fading after which it leaves a light tint on my cheeks (which is not much visible). I think it stays for a lesser time on me because I have this annoying habit of touching my face unintentionally. This might stay longer if you don't do that :D

Shade: The shade creamy cinnamon is a earthy peachy color. It is rightly described as cinnamon as it comes out brownish on the cheeks. It is a perfect everyday shade mostly because it is matte and toned down. You cannot go wrong with this shade as it will never look OTT. I love this shade and love to pair it with a bright lipstick. This shade will suit almost all skin tones but will flatter light to medium skin tones more.

This is how it looks on me:

(I don't know why my camera is showing yellow hues in these pics but the pic in the center and the one above will give you a better idea of how the blush looks on me. Also please excuse the undone brows)

Pros:

  • The shade creamy cinnamon is gorgeous and will suit most skin tones. It is a earthy peachy shade which comes out more brown on the cheeks.
  • Pigmentation is good and the texture is smooth with satin finish.
  • These are inexpensive. Instead of getting a single blush for 700 INR, you can get 3 for 750 :)
  • Great blush for beginners as well as pros.
  • The texture is not at all chalky as it may look in the pan. It is extremely soft and smooth.

Cons:

  • It doesn't stay on for a long time. This is personally not a con for me considering the price we get these babies for! :)
  • Might lead to product wastage if taken on the brush with a heavy hand.

Would I recommend this product?
Yes!! I think you will not find such good quality for such less price in any other blush.

Would I repurchase this product?
I have already loaded my online shopping cart with peachy sweety and fresh coral as I write this review ;)

My Rating: 4.8/5 :-*:-*:-*:-*

All in all these are must have blushes if you are in search of good affordable blushes. The shades are gorgeous and perfect for Indian skin tones. So go ahead girls grab them if you have't yet!

Have you tried these cute little blushes? How did you find them? Do share your thoughts via comments.

I am off to complete my payment (for the loaded online shopping cart) and get hold of the other two shades.

Take Care,

Love,
Mayuri
