Review: Colorbar Pout in a Pot Lip Color in shade Ange Rose - a creamy and rich lip color :)

Hello Lovely Ladies,

Hope you all are doing fine!

This week was very hectic and so I am happy that weekend is here. I am planning to relax, pamper myself and also planning to get a haircut. I had posted some swatches of Colorbar Pout in a Pot Lip Colors here. I had picked up the shade Ange Rose because it is a perfect blend of plum and pink and I love such shades :) I have been using this lip color since a few days now and I love it! Today I am reviewing Colorbar Pout in a Pot Lip Color in shade Ange Rose.

Read on to find out more.

Product Description:

Pamper your lips with this deliciously syrupy lip color. Cushiony and wet, it optically plumps your lips for a sexy plushy pout you'll become addicted to!

  • Enriched with Vit-E  and jojoba oil.
  • Non sticky and long lasting.
Price: 550 INR

Shelf Life: 3 years.

Packaging:

This lip color comes in a pot which is equipped with brush and a mirror (located on the bottom of the cap) which is the best thing about these pots. The pot equipped with the brush and the mirror is easy to carry. Some people have complained about the brush not coming off easily for the first time but I did not experience troubles with the brush. It came out just fine.

My Experience with Colorbar Pout in a Pot Lip Color in shade Ange Rose:

Initially I was skeptical about buying this lip color because I am not a gloss lover. I prefer lipsticks over gloss and this somehow looked more glossy than creamy in the pics I saw. So one fine day when I went to a Colorbar counter, I thought of swatching them and once I did, I absolutely loved the formula, pigmentation and creamy texture. It is not at all sticky like lip gloss. It is super creamy and feels buttery while application. The brush that comes along does a decent job of application. This lip color does give an illusion of fuller and plump lips because of the shine it imparts to the lips. On immediate application it looks creamy and glossy but after an hour it settles down as a lip stain.

The shade I have is Ange Rose which is a combination of plum and pink. It is a gorgeous color which would flatter almost all skin tones. I loved the shade because I am fond of pinks with a hint of mauve/plum.

This color lasted on my lips for 5-6 hours with significant fading. It does survive meals but would not retain its creamy texture. The sheen or the glossiness lasts for an hour but after that the stain that remains also does justice to the lips. I am pretty happy with the staying power. The pigmentation is medium but if you layer it up, it will cover mild pigmentation on the lips and will give an even finish.

Pros:
  • Creamy and glossy finish which gives an illusion of fuller/plump lips.
  • Pigmentation is good. It is not just a sheer lip color.
  • Non sticky.
  • Comes with a brush applicator and mirror which make it a well equipped lippy pot :)
  • Staying power is good (5-6 hours with significant fading)
  • Hydrating. Keeps the lips moisturized and smooth.
Cons:
  • It stains the lips heavily and hence has to be removed with the help of an oil based makeup remover (this might be a con for some)
Would I recommend this product?
Definitely Yes!! I highly recommend these! Go grab them. The shade selection is awesome.

Would I repurchase this product?
Absolutely! I am planning to buy Tricky Orange next :)

My Rating: 4.8/5 :-*:-*:-*:-*
